IMPORTANT UPDATES DUE TO ONGOING CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, Grampian Housing has made the following changes to our services:

Money and Benefit Advice / Housing Support and Energy Advice
The tenancy sustainment teams will continue to provide money, benefit and debt, housing support and energy advice through a limited phone service.

smartnewlogoresized

Our SMART money advice project offers FREE, impartial and confidential money advice for tenants of Grampian, Castlehill and Langstane Housing Associations who are facing financial difficulties.  This ranges from managing your money, debt counselling, checking Welfare Benefit entitlement, applying for benefits and providing budgeting advice.

We appreciate that our customers will sometimes face difficult financial situations.  This could be through struggling to cope with debt or a change in personal circumstances.  It could be that you are finding it difficult to understand the changes to the Welfare Benefit system or you may be trying to budget on much less money.

The team of Money Advisers work throughout Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray and they are happy to see you in the office or to visit you in your own home.

The SMART team will:-

  • Check Welfare Benefit entitlement and help you to apply for benefits
  • Help you manage your money
  • Provide support around budgeting
  • Deal with any outstanding debt issues
  • Provide advice on home contents insurance, opening a bank or credit union account

If you are facing money worries the best thing you can do is speak to one of the SMART team.  They will listen to you, provide advice and support and start working with you to turn your situation around.

Don’t delay, contact SMART today!
