This section provides further information for our current Factored customers.

Factoring Services

The Association provides a range of factoring services to customers, particularly in developments of flats. These include stair cleaning, open space maintenance (landscaping) and repairs to communal areas. The cleaning service to most of our schemes in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire is provided by an “in-house” mobile team. In rural areas these services are mainly provided by our rural cleaners.

The costs of these services are charged directly to customers in the form of a factoring service charge. Standards are monitored on an on-going basis to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

The Association is a member of the Property Managers Association Scotland Limited (PMAS) which promotes high standards of property management amongst its members.

If you have any queries about the factoring services provided by the Association please contact the Customer Response Unit on 01224 202900 or email factoring@grampianhousing.co.uk. Alternatively write to Grampian Housing Association, Huntly House, 74 Huntly Street, Aberdeen, AB10 1TD.

Fire Safety

GHA operate a “STAY PUT” policy, therefore we are in the process of removing our communal smoke detection and will be applying the appropriate signage for tenants to refer to.

Please follow the guidance and stay safe. A Stay Put Policy allows residents to remain in their own property in relative safety in the event of a fire in another flat/area of the building, and does not usually require an alarm warning to be sounded other than in the flat of the fire's origin.

Please see the following links for more information on the new policy, signs and fire safety advice from the Scottish Fire Safety & Rescue service.
