Neil Clapperton - Chief Executive
For over six years Neil Clapperton has been Chief Executive of Grampian Housing Association. He joined the Association in 2005 as Director of Housing and Property Services and was Interim Chief Executive from November 2010 - March 2013. Neil’s ambition is to see the Grampian group provide a sustainable housing solution for the North East. He encourages pro-active thinking across the political spectrum on the importance of affordable housing to working families, employers, commerce and public services in support of the economy.
Prior to this Neil worked at Angus Council where he led a diverse section covering private sector housing strategy, local housing strategy, private and public investment programmes, service development and policy, research, quality assurance, and customer participation. Prior to that he managed the Angus Community Care Charitable Trust. Neil’s housing career started in the Edinburgh District Council’s Area Improvement Teams in 1989 and this was followed by seven years with Dunbritton Housing Association in a variety of care, development, housing, maintenance, and service management roles.
He holds a degree in Construction Management.

Malcolm McNeil - Director of Strategic Services
Malcolm took up his current role as Director of Strategic Services in 2018 following a restructure of the Association's Senior Management Team. Since May 2006 he had been Director of Corporate Services. Malcolm joined Grampian Housing Association in 2000 as a Housing Manager. His role covers a range of functions including Finance, IT, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Governance, Engagement and Compliance. Malcolm sits on the Board of tsiMoray.
He is an Honours Graduate in Humanities from the University of Greenwich and holds a postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Administration from The Robert Gordon University as well as a Diploma in Housing Studies. Malcolm is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Craig Stirrat - Chief Operating Officer
In 2018 Craig was appointed to the new post of Chief Operating Officer following a restructure of the Senior Management Team. He has responsibility for leading the Association's business transformation process as well as its diversification into commercial activity. He joined Grampian Housing Association in August 2014 as Director of Business Development.
Previously Craig was with Fife Housing Association in the role of Housing Services Director. Craig has more than 36 years leadership experience in the housing and adult care sector and was Head of Housing and Adult Services at Aberdeen City Council from 2006 until 2010.
He is currently a Board member of HouseMark and is a former Chair of the Chartered Institute of Housing and was also a Board member of Aberdeen Foyer and the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations.
Craig is an Honours Graduate in Sociology & Social Anthropology from the University of Stirling and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Housing Studies from The University of Glasgow as a MSc in Total Quality Management & Business Studies from Sheffield Hallam University. Craig is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
