Neil Clapperton

For over six years Neil Clapperton has been Chief Executive of Grampian Housing Association (Kirkgate Development’s parent company). Prior to this he was at Angus Council. Neil’s ambition is to see the Grampian group provide a sustainable housing solution for the North East. He encourages pro-active thinking across the political spectrum on the importance of affordable housing to working families, employers, commerce and public services in support of the economy.


Richard Dodunski

Richard was elected Chair of Kirkgate Developments in December 2013.  He has previously held voluntary roles as Trustee and Secretary of Homestart Kincadine.  Richard has a passion for learning and working with teams.  He is passionate about the provision of affordable homes and providing access for everyone to a safe, stable home environment to enable social mobility.  He is a Chartered Manager, Certified Project Manager working in the oil and gas industry and holds Bachelor degrees in Law, Engineering and Business Management.


Gordon Edwards

Gordon joined the Grampian Board in 2010 and served as Chairman for 3 years from September 2013. Gordon is a qualified accountant and a former Director of Resources Management at Aberdeen City Council. Since taking voluntary redundancy in 2009 Gordon has served on a number of Boards and Trusts in the public, private and third sectors. He has also filled several interim management roles and provides business planning and management coaching advice to several third sector organisations.

Chris Herd

Chris graduated from RGU in 2013 with a BSc and an MA in Architecture. He is currently employed as Operations Manager for ICE UK Limited, a company that specialises in providing architectural design services.

Chris is a semi-professional footballer and has captained a number of teams to both local and national victories. He also coaches youth teams.

Graham Morrison

Graham was Grampian’s longest serving Board Member having been on the Board for almost 18 years; during this time he served as Chair of the Association and Convenor of the Audit Committee. Graham stepped down from the Grampian Board in 2015 and was elected to the Kirkgate Board soon thereafter. He recently retired from the Health & Safety Executive where he was employed as a Senior Structural Specialist.
