Our board

Peter Kennedy

Peter was elected Chair in May 2018, having been Vice Chair from September 2016 and joining the Grampian Board in September 2015. He is one of the Association's sharing owners and is an Employability Officer with Aberdeenshire Council. 

Peter also serves on the Board of Grampian's subsidiary TLC Housing Maintenance and Grampian Regional Equality Council (GREC). He previously served on the Council of Management of Aberdeen Cyrenians, the Co-op's Grampian Area Committee and Grampian Credit Union.  

Peter is qualified in both Business and Management studies and holds memberships of the Chartered Management Institute, the Institute of Employability Professionals and Chartered Institute of Housing, through which he recently completed the Level 4 Certificate and is working towards a Diploma in Housing/Chartered member status.

Peter currently serves as President of the Lions Club of Aberdeen and is a Member Pioneer with The Co-op, linking Co-op members and become a force of good in their local communities.

Fraser Graham

Fraser is Vice Chair of the Association. He was educated locally at the Robert Gordon University and has worked in a variety of roles within Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Strategic Growth. Fraser has spent the last 10 years working in Media and in the Oil and Gas industry Raised locally in St Combs, near Fraserburgh, Fraser has a strong interest in social housing, sustainability and social equality.

 

Abhishek Agarwal

Abhishek studied aeronautical and mechanical engineering at university in Ukraine. He furthered his studies in Aberdeen where he completed an MBA in 2003, a postgraduate certificate in Research Methods in 2006 and a PhD in 2011. Abhishek is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management at Robert Gordon University.

Abhishek is a registered landlord and manages a portfolio of residential properties. Consequently, he has a solid understanding of the local housing market and a passion for excellent customer service. He previously served on the Kirkgate Board of Management (Grampian's subsidiary).

Margaret Bochel

Maggie is a chartered town planner and chartered manager with over 28 years’ experience in planning and related functions in local government and the private sector.  She spent 10 years as Head of Planning and Sustainable Development at Aberdeen City Council before becoming a Director of Property and Infrastructure in a local commercial law firm.   She has recently set up her own planning consultancy business.  She is currently also a member of the Policy Council of the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce and is a Vice-Chair of Nestrans, the Regional Transport Partnership for the North East of Scotland.  Maggie has considerable experience in strategic planning, operational management, and ensuring high standards of performance and best value.

Colin Campbell

Colin was raised in Wick, Caithness and graduated from Robert Gordon’s Institute of Technology with an Honours degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. He has worked in a variety of roles across Engineering, HSE and Production, but mainly as a Quality professional, and has worked in the Oil & Gas Industry for the last 12 years. Colin has volunteered with the Chartered Quality Institute since 2008 and is the current Chair for the Scottish Region. Colin will bring his energy and focus to the Board of Management to ensure its aims and goals are realised in the most effective manner.

Nora Radcliffe

Now retired, Nora Radcliffe enjoyed a varied working life in both the private and public sectors. From university, she went into the hotel & catering industry, then followed a number of home-based years raising a family, returning to work part-time for a travel agency, then full time in a number of capacities in the NHS before being elected to the first Scottish Parliament where she served for two Parliamentary terms.

Her interest in housing issues began in 1988 when she became a District Councillor, at about the time Scottish Homes was being set up, and has continued since, with the strong view that provision of good housing is fundamental to well-being in any society. Nora joined the Board in February 2013.

Ma'aruf Razzak

Ma’aruf was educated at Robert Gordon’s College and Aberdeen University where he graduated with an LLB Honours degree. He is a solicitor by profession and holds a Director position at Shepherd & Wedderburn LLP. Ma’aruf takes a keen interest in charitable roles and is the Chairman of, a local not for profit organisation, Aberdeen Muslims as well as the Vice President an established charity, Aberdeen Mosque and Islamic Centre. Ma’aruf deals with a wide spectrum of property matters on a daily basis which cover commercial and residential matters and developments for small and large scale national housebuilders.
