Fraser Graham

Fraser is Vice Chair of the Association. He was educated locally at the Robert Gordon University and has worked in a variety of roles within Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Strategic Growth. Fraser has spent the last 10 years working in Media and in the Oil and Gas industry Raised locally in St Combs, near Fraserburgh, Fraser has a strong interest in social housing, sustainability and social equality.

Abhishek Agarwal

Abhi is an experienced Business School professional with a passion to help and develop people, teams and organisations realise their goals. His expertise spans the areas of strategy, business models, circular economy, social housing, customer knowledge management, and sustainability transition.

He has led a wide range of business and research projects for businesses and non-profit organisations, including CNG Services (UK), EC-OG (UK), CSIRO (Australia), Databuild (UK), Mera Gao Power (India), URS (UK), Wood Group (UK), WWF (Uganda).

Abhi holds an MBA from University of Aberdeen and a PhD from Robert Gordon University.

Currently, Abhi is the Course Leader for the Aberdeen Business School MBA Programme, and lectures in the areas of strategy and sustainability. He actively researches on Circular Economy Business Models, Entrepreneurship in Resource Constrained Environments & Energy Transition. He is a member of the RGU Sustainability Advisory Group with a specific focus on Sustainability Policy.

Abhi is involved with Business Strategy and the Environment & Sustainable Development journals as a member of the Editorial Board. He is an External Examiner for Environment, Energy and Resources at University College London.

In addition, Abhi owns a portfolio of residential properties. Consequently, he has a solid understanding of the local housing market. He displays a real passion for housing, environment and community-based issues.

Margaret Bochel

Date of joining the Board of Management – 27 June 2017

Maggie is a chartered town planner and chartered manager with over 28 years’ experience in planning and related functions in local government and the private sector.  She spent 10 years as Head of Planning and Sustainable Development at Aberdeen City Council before becoming a Director of Property and Infrastructure in a local commercial law firm.   She has recently set up her own planning consultancy business.  She is currently also a member of the Policy Council of the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce and is a Vice-Chair of Nestrans, the Regional Transport Partnership for the North East of Scotland.  Maggie has considerable experience in strategic planning, operational management, and ensuring high standards of performance and best value.

Nora Radcliffe

Date of joining the Board of Management – 26 February 2013

Now retired, Nora Radcliffe enjoyed a varied working life in both the private and public sectors. From university, she went into the hotel & catering industry, then followed a number of home-based years raising a family, returning to work part-time for a travel agency, then full time in a number of capacities in the NHS before being elected to the first Scottish Parliament where she served for two Parliamentary terms.   Her interest in housing issues began in 1988 when she became a District Councillor, at about the time Scottish Homes was being set up, and has continued since, with the strong view that provision of good housing is fundamental to well-being in any society.

Ma'aruf Razzak

Ma’aruf was educated at Robert Gordon’s College and Aberdeen University where he graduated with an LLB Honours degree. He is a solicitor by profession and holds a Director position at Shepherd & Wedderburn LLP. Ma’aruf takes a keen interest in charitable roles and is the Chairman of, a local not for profit organisation, Aberdeen Muslims as well as the Vice President an established charity, Aberdeen Mosque and Islamic Centre. Ma’aruf deals with a wide spectrum of property matters on a daily basis which cover commercial and residential matters and developments for small and large scale national housebuilders.

Jim Cargill

Date of joining the Board of Management – 26 June 2018

PhotoJimCargillJim Cargill has been in the oil and gas industry for over forty years in a variety of operational and business development roles. This has primarily been with a number of offshore support base and marine service companies including ASCo, Wood Group Offshore, SBS Logistics (now Peterson), OIL Limited, Sea Oil Services, OSA do Brasil and Sea-Cargo.

Jim's experience includes involvement in various activities in the North Sea (UK & Norway), Brasil, Caspian Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Morocco, Faroes and South East Asia.

Currently Jim is Chief Executive of RGU spin-out company PlanSea Solutions Ltd and a director of Calibre International Ltd, a business consultancy.

In addition Jim has developed and now tutors oilfield logistics courses for The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. He holds a BA (Open) majoring in economics and politics and a Diploma in Management Studies.

He is a past secretary of the Aberdeen Base Operators Association and has also worked in the environmental, biotech, internet and waste management sectors.

Jim is involved with Oil & Gas UK as a member of the SME committee and as part of the O&GUK Logistics Efficiency Task Group. He is a Board Member of Montrose Port Authority, a Business Mentor for Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce and holds the role of Freight Advisor to NESTRANS.

Shen Selvam

Shen has been in the oil and gas industry for twenty years in a variety of operational management and project engineer roles. Currently he is a Senior Project Manager specialising in subsea and wellhead operations.

Shen has the following qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering (1st Class), Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Marketing. Shen’s areas of expertise include operations management, strategic planning, change management, and strategic planning.

Sean Girvan

Sean was a Chartered Mechanical Engineer for 25 years working with various Oil & Gas operating and service companies in a career that took him across the globe He then obtained an MBA and moved from technical and operational focused roles to general management and onto becoming an executive board member of three SME’s and MD of two of them.

Concurrently Sean, along with his wife Allison, built a portfolio of residential properties and luxury holiday parks so, as such, he is well versed in the requirements of running a successful business that delivers first class customer service with excellent staff relationships, all within a defined budget.

Kristi Kelly

Date of joining the Board of Management – 21 May 2019

Kristi has a background in the social housing sector having worked for Aberdeenshire Council in the Housing Service for over 9 years, predominantly within the Homelessness team. Kristi is currently the Manager at Aberdeen Citizens Advice Bureau and has a wealth of knowledge and experience of working in the public and third sectors and the challenges which they face. Kristi has an Honours Degree in Politics and International Relations which she studied at Aberdeen University. Within the last few years she has also completed the Chartered Institute of Housing Level 4 Diploma in Housing Practice at Dundee and Angus College.
